Thirty-one years in gospel music. Worked for Vaughan & Stamps-Baxter Music Co. Organized John Daniel Quartet. Sang on network Radio, WSM’s Grand Ole Opry-NBC. Recorded on Columbia Records. Held radio show on WSM until his death. Employed fifty-three people in John Daniel Quartet over the years including: Jake Hess, Tommy Fairchild, Gordan Stoker, Jim Waits, Wally Fowler, and Bill Lyles. Introduced and helped to make popular such songs as, “I’ll Meet You In The Morning”, “Just A Rose Will Do”, “Keep On The Firing Line”, “Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem”. Started one of the first quartet publishing companies. First to transcribe SESAC Library for gospel music. Published ten song books.
