John W. Peterson

John W. Peterson was born in Lindsborg, Kansas on November 1, 1921, the youngest of seven children. He graduated from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and attended Moody Bible Institute. Composer of more than a thousand gospel songs and sacred hymns, including “It Took A Miracle”, “Surely Goodness and Mercy”, and “Heaven Came Down and Glory Filled My Soul”. Mr. Peterson has devoted most of his time in the past ten years to writing cantatas and anthems, which have sold over six million copies. The most popular of his cantatas is “Night of Miracles”. Mr. Peterson is the head of Singspiration, Inc.
