Marvin Norcross

Marvin Norcross was born in 1929. Through his efforts and because of his direction Marvin was said to have brought “Southern Style” quartet music to Main Street USA. These are some of the credits by which those in gospel music knew and respected Marvin Norcross. Marvin was a member of the Rotary Club and had a perfect attendance record for over 25 years. This means attending at least once a week somewhere within the United States. For over seventeen years, Marvin devoted time and effort to Little League Baseball activities. He served in various capacities, including League president for five years before becoming District Administrator in 1968. He was elected by his peers to serve as permanent State Tournament Committee Chairman in 1972 and continued to serve in that position until his death.
